posted five photos with the comment: "Vestages from the past trying unsuccessfully to compete in the rapidly changing modes and methods of transportation. Nostalgia did not carry the day for the Hennepin Canal in the end, it as sad to say after all the positive dreams and anticipation. The Hennepin Canal was the last small boat era canal built in America and the Westernmost. Photo is at lock 32 in the early days of denial. The rudder man in the last photo knows what “getting the shaft” truly means."
