What is now a bunch of trees used to be a lot of railroading.
1959 Gary Quadrangle @ 1:24,000
Lynwood Meeks The employee parking lot is were the freight office was.. tore the building down(like song says) and put a up parking lot. Smh
Korry Shepard Massachusetts Street was built right behind the freight house in 1958. Starting from 8th Avenue It cut straight through the Wabash yard, the high line and the Michigan Central. The MC depot had to be reduced in size so that the street could reach 11th Avenue straight through.

Wabash 4th District at Gary Indiana passed right by The Schlitz Building at 9th & Broadway. There's a Schlitz logo on the tower but not clear to see. The Wabash ROW was right behind the photographer and the Wabash Freight House was far left across from the Schlitz Building. Wonder how many workers soaked down a cold one?
Leonard Perlmutter: Wayne Hudak and before Rule G violations I think it is.
[I presume Rule G was "don't come to work drunk." That was the cause of some horrible railroad accidents.]
