Hennepin Canal overview
Lock #22 is at the summit of the canal. [rural-ruin]
This bridge is now a trail bridge. Note that the replacement is not a bridge but a filled in canal. I wonder if the fill has a culvert so that a flow is still allowed in the canal. I suspect that a flow is supported because there is just a little algae upstream of the upper gates.

Jonathan Konopka posted | This is the Hennepin Canal Lock 22 Bridge near Sheffield, IL. It is a vertical lift bridge that was built in 1904 and carries CR-310 (abandoned alignment) over the Hennepin Canal. The bridge is now part of the Hennepin Canal Trail and is used by pedestrians.
