1940 SAL and ACL Bridges over Lake Greenwood on Saluda River

SAL: (no Bridge Hunter; Satellite)
ACL: (Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

Lake Greenwood was created by the Buzzard Roost Dam. Both bridges are now owned by CSX.

Thomas Joey Milam posted two photos with the comment: "CSX over lake greenwood in South Carolina. The first pic is the new bridge in 1940 just before the lake was impounded. The second is current day with the lake at full pool."

This is the bridge over the upper part of lake greenwood. The CSX Spartanburg subdivision. It’s somewhat of a hodgepodge! Part of the timber was replaced with concrete around 2002. I’m not sure why they didn’t replace the remaining timber.
