1929,1968+2020s US-20 Bridges over Cazenovia Creek at West Seneca, NY

If you are here because of "Chicago Heights (Jay) Junction: CN/EJ&E vs. UP+CSX/C&EI," then you need to go there.

(Bridge Hunter; no Historic Bridges; Satellite)

The 831' (253m) long bridge has spans of 139' (42m). [Bridge Hunter]

Bubba Dubs posted five photos with the comment: "A few weeks ago I got over to the Route 20 bridge (Transit Rd) and took some shots with the drone as they were starting the supports for the northbound lane. The original bridge was built between 1928-1929, and its replacement is long overdue!!"

It is being replaced by a steel-girder bridge.

The northbound route 20 bridge over Cazenovia creek has been completed and they have begun demolishing the old 1929 bridge. Traffic going northbound begun moving on Thursday at 7am and southbound traffic commenced at 3pm that same day.
I got the drone up to document what I could of the almost 100 year old structure’s last days. Very interesting cement arches, you definitely don’t see that anymore!!!
